Biography:

Kathy Rowland, BSN, RN, CPC, CEMC, CHC, CPC-I has over 30 years of experience in the areas of Healthcare Administration and Management.  Over seventeen years of this time has been spent specifically in the development and implementation of practice-based compliance plans, auditing documentation as well as litigation support.

Kathy is a Certified Professional Coder with a specialty certification in evaluation and management coding.  She is also certified as a coding instructor by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and holds a certification in healthcare compliance through the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA). Her additional education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is a licensed registered nurse.

Kathy has had the privilege of speaking at many national and regional conferences for the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC), Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA), and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).  Kathy has a consulting practice located in Franklin, Tennessee.
